On this page, you will find examples of engineering projects I have been involved in during my academic course work, team engagements, or personal interests. These projects reflect a variety of technical aspects, including, but not limited to, CAD modeling, simulation, programming, and design iterations of findings. These projects present both completed projects as well as work that is currently being developed.
The buttons below will take you to individual project pages that include a summary and more information about the objectives, tools, and problem-solving processes used. These projects range from early design exercises to senior-level work. These projects demonstrate my development as an engineer and my dedication to applying theory in tangible, hands-on solutions.
This is my senior design/capstone project at Iowa State University, completed as part of the two-semester AERE 4610/4620 course sequence.
The AERE 261 project is part of a 200-level course in the ISU Aerospace Engineering curriculum, where students use SolidWorks to model aircraft inspired by existing designs.
This is a 300-level project for AERE 361 at Iowa State University, where we programmed an Adafruit Clue board using CircuitPython to collect flight data for the High Altitude Balloon (HABET) M2I mission.
This is a 300-level project for AERE 351 at Iowa State University, where we planned a mission to Mars using orbital mechanics. The goal was to reach Mars within a set launch and arrival window while minimizing fuel use and exploring strategies like a Venus flyby. Tools such as MATLAB, Python, and ANSYS STK were used throughout the project for analysis and simulation.
This is a section for an upcoming project I might be joining very soon!
